Rev Canon Dr. Nigel Rooms

Nigel is an Anglican Priest based in Leicester, UK where he regularly preaches and presides at St. Margaret’s Church. Ever since being ordained and completing his Master’s degree he has been interested in contextual theology and mission. After working in Theological Education by Extension in Tanzania for seven years he studied for a professional doctorate in missiology and has been a member of IAMS since 2008. Currently he works freelance as a consultant in deep cultural change towards God mission in local churches across the UK, a journal Editor, a researcher, author, facilitator and spiritual director. Nigel is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, Birmingham, United Kingdom and the University of South Africa (UNISA). He is married to Karen who is Dean of Leicester Cathedral and they have two adult sons.
